Stephen Klunk is a percussionist and educator based in Northeast Ohio. His experience encompasses a variety of styles, including contemporary art music, rock, and metal.

Patchwork, Stephen’s saxophone and drum set duo, has commissioned new works from over a dozen composers, including Eric Wubbels, Jonn Sokol, Dan Tramte, Ruby Fulton, Jon Fielder, Max Grafe, Jason Charney, Nick Didkovsky, and Monte Weber. Formed in 2013, Patchwork has appeared in cities including St. Louis, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, New York, Cincinnati, and Cleveland, and at music schools across the Midwest and Northeastern United States.

Stephen has performed with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra and the Toledo Symphony Percussion Trio. In 2008, he won Bowling Green State University's Concerto Competition, and in the following year, he was a finalist in the Percussive Arts Society's International Multiple Percussion Solo Competition. Stephen holds a master's degree from Bowling Green State University, where he studied with Roger Schupp. He has participated in master classes and taken lessons with well-known artists, including Bill Bachman, Travis Orbin, Casey Cangelosi, Michael Burritt, Kevin Bobo, Aiyun Huang, Naoko Takada, and the world famous percussion group, NEXUS.
